half past six
this work explores the themes of addiction, isolation, and psychological confinement through the depiction of the male figure within an intimate, domestic space. the images emphasise the continuous cycles of isolation and detachment, situating the subject within a state of quiet disconnection. the several bottles of alcohol in the background subtly reinforces narratives of dependency and self-destructive behaviour, while the light-filled room reveals everything within it, yet refuses any glimpse beyond the frame.

created through the medium of cyanotype, the work adopts a muted, monochromatic palette that deepens the emotional resonance, evoking a sense of memory, fragility, and distance. this work is rooted in personal experience as it engages with trauma not as spectacle, but as an introspective and embodied condition, inviting the viewer to reflect on solitude, vulnerability, and the complexities of inner struggle.
